Aromatherapy is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being.
The inhaled aroma from these "essential" oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function. Essential oils can also be absorbed through the skin, where they travel through the bloodstream and can promote whole-body healing.
A form of alternative medicine, aromatherapy is gaining momentum. It is used for a variety of applications, including pain relief, mood enhancement and increased cognitive function.
There are a wide number of essential oils available, each with its own healing properties.

On this eve of the Summer Solstice, one is drawn to thinking and feeling out the concept of
blossoming. What does it take in your life to open to new experiences, to fully open, to anything
new including the willingness to live in your heart fully inhabited and beckon more expansive
and open minded-hearted belief systems or human constructs. Can we open our definition of
our highly constricted positions and possessions and titles to know we are pure, unbounded
potential and divinity? Many blossom essences can support you in this process, to live your life
fully and be willing to be open and vulnerable on all levels. I placed white lotus blossom on my
heart tonight and under my nose, and really wondered at this beauty’s rarity and divinity and
how lotus can blossom fully in the nastiest, dirtiest, most polluted pond. So, I welcome you to
bloom where you’re planted and allow the plant and tree medicines to uplift and support you!
