IN THE PALM OF MY HAND

Sometimes all we need do is place our palm out and open and wait for the gift.  I received this beautiful understanding this morning as I gazed up at a palm tree:  the SWEET SPOT in life is when the divine masculine and the sacred feminine meet.  That may seem like a given, and I also see the perfection of the nature pattern repeated in the heavens and cosmos and in the tiniest of treasures on this planet.  The obelisk, or masculine expression of linear and uprightness of the trunk or stalk meets the fringe and play of the palm leaves, the things that dance and move in the wind and with the tides and currents and energies in their beautiful meandering song.  At the tender threshold and juncture, lies the fruit of life, the coconut or the gift to us all.  Seeds of change and the seeds that feed us can only come when one meets the other with awareness and kindness and respect.  That is sweet indeed!

Davana, or Artemesia Pallens, has similar shaped wispy fringe like the palm leaves.  The stalk of Davana can be hard and woody and upright.  Davana oil, a favorite in India, with beautiful orange flowers, helps us all to remember the confluence of masculine and feminine and holds us all the while in protection and health.  Her immune stimulant properties revered by many, she is indeed fit for Lord Shiva.  Her flowers are offered to the Divine Masculine and we can see when we offer up the sweetest blossoms we are inside, to our highest inner expression our masculine energies, or the high-hearted males in our lives, the alchemy needs no recognition or explanation.  The blossoming just emerges.  The delicious and aphrodisiac aromatics of this plant remind us of the perfection and delicious nature of this blessed joining.
