SMALL THINGS DONE WITH BIG HEART

They matter.  Greatly.  Today, I make a “To Love” list, rather than a “To Do” list.  Hopefully, and better yet, I make one of each, each day, and the highest expression of this, when my heart and mind are one, my motto becomes:  “May my ambitions of the hand be in balance with my ambitions of the heart.”  Then, my work is also my love.  What can we accomplish and what can we be, when we have that level of resonance?  What glorious expression then, comes from our creative source?

I thank Violet today, for her teachings and comfort and gentleness.  Whenever I need to be seen as tender, and treated with kid gloves by the world, I reach for Violet.  She is so regal in her purpleness and so tiny and unassuming, but oh so sweet and comforting.  We often need reminding of our humanity.  We have been steeped in culture that treats humans as gears in a machine.  Remembering our sensitivity can be a strength, for even the most astute scientist still acknowledges that no machine, no computer, can ever even come close to approximating the intelligence and efficacy of the human.  That is because we are not just our minds, but our hearts, and all the sensitivity and tenderness that comes with it.

Violet essential oil, composed of the flower and the leaf, is hugely uplifting, and as a true cordial, calms our overtaxed nervous systems in times of great transition.  It soothes our beings on the deepest of levels.  I had a woman recently, in an essential oils consultation, that chose 6 oils to support her health and wellbeing.  She knew she needed these six oils.  Violet was one of them.  We priced them and she considered her budget….and after great deliberation, she chose ONLY Violet, and let the rest go for another time.  Violet is that powerful in her little tiny sweet amethyst expression!  I pray she can support you in this manner.
