The Importance of Oleation

In Ayurvedic Principles, it is critical for us to apply oils, healthy oils, mind you, internally and externally for detoxifying purposes. Many of the toxins we are exposed to daily in our environment, including what we intentionally eat and/or unintentionally eat, get lodged in our fatty tissues of the body. Many toxins are water soluble, and so just staying well hydrated can help our bodies eliminate them….but what about the fat soluble toxins. Most of us are drastically dried out on the inside, and AS ABOVE - SO BELOW and by association, AS INSIDE - SO OUTSIDE…..dry skin, dry eyes, eczema, dandruff, constipation, and the list goes on.

This is why I love that our line of oils takes the care to represent some of the purist nut and seed oils from all over the world with many amazing health benefits. They all have stellar nutritive benefit and beauty benefits and are wonderful for their quick absorption into our largest organ of absorption, our skin. As such, they are used often for massage oils. I value them most for three reasons:

  1. drinking internally
  2. self massage (Abhyanga) daily before showering
  3. beauty regime

Some of my favorites are Red Raspberry Seed Oil, Cucumber Oil, Rose Hip Seed Oil, Sesame Oil, and Black Cumin Seed Oil. Most are off the charts in terms of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and protein. Oleation greatly helps our colons function properly and our skin and hair truly glow from the inside.
